Democrat Laura Friedman announced two more major endorsements in her race for Assembly District 43: L.A. County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl and EMILY’s List.
Supervisor Kuehl called Laura, “One of California’s most creative and effective local leaders. Laura Friedman has worked to bring thousands of jobs to Glendale while, at the same time, making her city a model for sustainable growth and environmental protection. Laura Friedman will be an outstanding member of the State Assembly.”
As Supervisor, Sheila Kuehl’s District overlaps a significant portion of AD43, particularly in the parts of the Assembly District within the City of Los Angeles. Kuehl served for 14 years as an Assembly member and State Senator before her election to the Board of Supervisors in 2014.
EMILY’s List is the nation’s largest and most effective organization dedicated to electing pro-choice Democratic women. While focusing at the federal level, EMILY’s List does endorse exceptional women candidates running for state offices as well.
“Laura Friedman is a proven leader with a lifetime commitment to protecting a woman’s right to reproductive choice,” said EMILY’s List Senior Director of State Engagement Muthoni Wambu Kraal. “We are committed to assisting Laura Friedman in this vital race representing one of the very best pickup opportunities for women in the state.”
