It was great to see so many friends and supporters in San Jose, and I wanted to give you an update on what’s been happening over the last few days.
NO ENDORSEMENT in AD43 from the California Democratic Party.
At this weekend’s California Democratic Party convention, delegates from AD43 confirmed the decision of the Pre-endorsement caucus meeting last month. The Democratic Party, as expected, is remaining neutral in this primary battle. With 5 good Democrats running, the “no endorsement” decision is the right one. I want to thank our terrific volunteers and supporters who came up to the Convention in San Jose to show their support. I’d also like to thank the California Democratic Party for hosting a fantastic convention!
ILWU endorses Friedman.
I am proud to have received another important labor endorsement, the International Longshore & Warehouse Union, Southern California District Council (ILWU). Representing dock and warehouse workers in the region, ILWU members play a vital role in facilitating the international trade that is such a source of strength in the local economy. ILWU joins a substantial number of Southern California unions endorsing my candidacy.
Speaking with Voters.
We have set up our campaign office and have begun reaching out to voters to share my vision on the issues that affect residents in the 43rd Assembly District, and to listen to their ideas and concerns. If you have a few hours, and would like to help us make phone calls or knock on doors, please email us email@example.com and we will contact you to schedule a time.
Thank you again for your support!
